What is the worship service like?

It is our desire that God would be glorified each time we gather together to worship through singing praises, praying together, reading scripture, giving tithes and offerings, and hearing the preaching of God's Word. Our worship services are prayerfully and purposefully planned each week as we trust God to move and work through all that is said and done. We consider ourselves extremely blessed with a gifted and talented group of musicians and vocalists of all ages. Our music is a blended style of choruses, hymns, and contemporary songs to minister to all generations. It is led by our worship pastor and the worship team, which includes a choir, lead vocalists, piano and keyboard, bass guitar, several acoustic and electric guitars, and drums. We typically will sing 3 to 4 songs together, spend a few moments in prayer, provide an opportunity to give tithes and offerings, and read a selected passage of scripture before the preaching begins. Our preaching is expositional and Gospel-centered as the truths of God's Word are unpacked in a way that is both engaging and relatable for everyone. At the end of the preaching, we provide everyone with a time to respond to the message as God would lead them during a closing song. Anyone is welcome to come and pray at the altar, talk with one of our pastors, stand in praise, or pray in their seats. Once this time of response has ended, some announcements are made before a closing prayer to end our time together. After the service, we ask that our visitors stop by our front foyer to speak with our pastor(s) and greeters, so that we can meet you, get to know you more, and share with you about how you can get involved in the ministries of Faith Baptist Church!

What do you have for children and students?

We love our children and students at Faith, and we are always looking for new kids to get connected in what God is doing through our children and student ministries! It is our desire that your kids might get connected and build relationships with other kids and adult leaders/mentors, all with the purpose of pointing them to the Gospel and helping them grow in the love and knowledge of the Lord. We want to pour God's Word into their hearts and minds so that their lives might be used for His mission and glory. In the menu above, click on "Ministries" to find out more about the opportunities available to kids of all ages (and adults too)!

How do I become a church member?

Here at Faith, we believe that one must be a born again, baptized believer in Jesus Christ in order to become an active member of our church body. If you are interested in becoming a member of our Faith Family, we would love for you to speak with one of our pastors about your desire to join our church. We want to get to know you, hear your story, and guide you in the next steps of being a follower of Christ at Faith Baptist Church.

What if I have a question not answered here?

That's okay! We would be glad to answer any other questions you may have. Simply send us an e-mail at secretary@faithbcmeridian.org, call our church office at (601) 485-5658, or stop by our church office to speak with one of our pastors.
